I am one of the lucky people to have a good friend who also has CH. We have known each other since 1968, developed CH within a couple of years of each other, have both been chronic. He remitted in 1994 and I two years ago. When I phoned him on Sunday I found we had both had them start again at the end of January.
Having read reports on serotonin and effects of hallucinogens, I find it interesting that we both took a lot of LSD in the late sixties ("when acid was acid". Aren't old men boring?), as well as a list of others too long to weary you with.
Does anyone know whether anyone has made a causal connection between hallucinogen use and subsequent CH?
I have also read messages about people using acid to avert CH. If it works for them - OK. But be warned! I stopped taking acid in 1972 and even now, the prospect of it NOT averting them and having a bad trip with a cluster headache is enough to make me stick with the pain I know - I love life and value my sanity (or to those who know, having come back to where I think I was before)
