The amount of LSD given at the headache and pain clinics in the old days was never enough to produce much of a "trip". What I got was a quarter of a hit of Window Pane, and it stopped the headache in its tracks and actually ended the cycle for several weeks.
I know that the treatment didn't always work that well for everybody, but it was a successful method for treating migraine and cluster headaches and a host of other disorders for many years before they made it illegal.
As I have said before, these substances should be made available for medical use, and it is a sin that certain foolish people have successfully conspired to make it impossible to use as a medical treatment.
