There is something to be said for rainy days. Because of one I found this site. I never realized that there were so many people who suffer with this. My husband suffers from these headaches. And to call them headaches would be like telling a man whose arm had been cut off that he cut himself. For about 3 years we have dealt with this. Before he was diagnosed my husband would wake up every night with pain so severe that it scared me. It still does. He said it felt like someone was driving a needle into his eye and his sinus would fill up. The pain would last for about an hour. He would pound his head with his fists. He was suicidal. The doctor didn't seem to take it too seriously till they got a phone call from the hospital saying that they had put stitches in my husbands head the night before. We had to ask for a neurologist!! He was diagnosed with Cluster Headaches. Imitrex injections help best. This site has given us some new ideas to take back to the doctor with. Is there anything that triggers these that we can avoid? I hate these headaches. I'm afraid to hear the words, "I WON"T go through this again." I think you all know what that means. Between now and the next Dr. appointment we would appreciate any suggestions that anyone has.
