Kathy in the guest book wondered about women having CHs. There seem to be enough of us. In reading the postings in this site I have been seeking information about how CH affects women and if there are differences between men and women. I don't know; it seems like there are as many differences among us women as there are among sufferers in general. Somewhere I read that CHs end as women approach menopause. Well, I am getting there and no relief in sight + I also get hormonal migraines. My headaches started after I had my children.
As for interventions, I noted that Heather in the Guest Book is trying craniosacral therapy. I tried that once and it seemed to stop a migraine cold. But that night I woke up with one of the worst clusters I'd ever had! Go figure. I was afraid to try it again...
I check in on this site pretty frequently because I have learned so much and take some comfort in what others have to say.
It is encouraging to have members of the medical community who are also sufferers joining in. I personally have a doctor who has been nothing but understanding and makes me come back or call him at once if something does not help. But when I hear what others have gone through, I feel like crying.
Thanks again to DJ for starting this just a few short months ago.
