My husband recently changed Neuro Dr.s but of course he could not get an appointment for several weeks. By the time he saw the Dr he appeared to be near the end
of his cycle. The Dr. perscribe Imitrex nasal spray and tablets plus Verapamil. He went back to the Dr today for a follow up visit. He had only one CH between
the office visits(2 wks). He used the imitrex spray but it gave him chest pains. The Dr. told him to take the Verapamil ER (240mg) everyday dispite the fact he appears to
be at the end of his cycle. I am uncomfortable with him taking it indefinately. He is episodic with cycles coming approximately every 2-2 1/2 years. This cycle
was the mildest (if there is such a thing) he has had in years. I don't want to tigger anything that would worsen his headaches or increase the frequency.
I would like to hear your real life results rather than base the decision solely on a Dr's philosophy.
