I know this probably sounds really weird, but has anyone noticed their pet having a reaction when they have a cluster headache? My husband is a long time ch sufferer and I noticed a long time ago that our dog, a sharpei can sense when my husband is getting a headache. I'm not talking about when my husband, Rick, is at the rolling around, head banging stage. I'm talking about before he shows any physical signs of a headache. It's almost like there's some sound or impulse that he can feel or hear. The dog will get up and start hiding under the table or behind the couch or anywhere away from Rick. The dog can be sound asleep and all of a sudden wake up and start this behaivor. This is all before Rick has even made any acknowlegement that he is getting a headache. He hasn't moved or said anything at all. I know it sounds weird and at first I just thought it was a conditioned response to the headaches. Rick's screaming or whatever he happens to do at the time made the dog nervous. But then I began to notice that the dog's behaivor begins before Rick's behaivor changes. Has anyone else noticed this? Any theories?
Thanks and good luck to all.
