Of Mice and Men is a book that was written by John Steinbeck. The book tells the story of two drifters; George and Lennie. Clinging to each other in their loneliness and alienation, George and his simple-minded friend Lennie dream, as drifters will, of a place to call their own. But after they come to work on a ranch in the Salinas Valley their hopes, like the best laid plans of mice and men, begin to go awry.

I sometimes feel lonely and alienated from the rest of society with my Cluster Headaches. I plan to print the O.U.C.H Newsletter and the O.U.C.H Brochure and take it to my Neurologist’s Office. I hope that people will read the O.U.C.H Brochure and Newsletter. I hope that they will gain an understanding and an education about Cluster Headaches. I plan to also give the Brochure and Newsletter to some local Universities where I live.

The plans that George and Lennie had didn’t work out for them. Lennie did a bad thing. Lennie didn’t mean to do a bad thing. (He was simple-minded). Society came after Lennie for doing a bad thing. Society wanted to kill Lennie for doing a bad thing. Lennie’s friend George didn’t want Society to kill Lennie, so he shot Lennie in the back of the head.

I hope that WE can make O.U.C.H work. I hope that WE all have the same plan for O.U.C.H.
