Thus, the analogy [I know big words too, drummer :-)] is inaccurate and misleading.
Partnering with the PI is probably the BEST thing OUCH could do. How many studies of clusterheads have you seen? How do the PI do their research on us? Why do we have to experiment with migraine drugs to see what works for CH? How many years was Imitrex on the market before it was approved (the injectible form) for CH?
I won't go into the financial aspects ... the 'surface' view of PI profits is severly shortsighted, but that's a different subject.
I don't think OUCH should fund any PI research, but I see NOTHING wrong in hitting them up for funds to support OUCH.
Just my opinion...I could be wrong.
