First, THANKS for everyones contributions here. I
started having chronic CHs last March. Wasted some
time at many doctors, incl. a 'quack' that was sure
I had occipital neuralgia and charged big$ for nerve
blocks that did nothing. Finally got in to see a real
neurologist who ID'd CH.
Verapamil helped some (480mg/day), but the addition of
Lithium (900mg/day) has pretty much left me with only
minor 'ghost' (shadow) pain. Over 7 months with 5,6+
attacks a day - as you all know - Relief is welcome.
Got a question:
These things started right after a root-canal, yet
many DRs have said the tooth is 'fine'. I also took
a minor fall while snow skiing about then that hurt
my shoulder and definitely gave my neck some whiplash.
What do people think 'caused' their CH?
