Hello,
First time here..What a great site!
Well I too have been suffering from clusters well over 10 years. I am also what is considered a chronic case. Having anywhere from 3-4 attacks a year, 6-8 weeks in duration.
Let me start by saying other then clusters I am in perfect health, and excelent shape.(Though I do have one vice, I smoke). I have not even had the flue or common cold in years. I am mixed blood American Indian and have been taught allot of traditional medicines. Witch I use regurally (Only when needed)
I have tried many traditional attempts to relieve my clusters. Nothing seems to help. So I up for the meds. Being in great pain can weaken ones resistance. But with them too I only take them during attacks. Once I am clear, I take nothing.
I see no difference with or without so called maintanance meds.
Now for the cause. One I believe it was inheridate. My mother suffered from migraines. Two I have had several head injuries in my younger years (I would be curious to know of others who have had skull fractors or concusions). I have kept a diary of my headaches and can find no one triger. I do agry with the lack of sleep, and stress play a role. But they are not the cause.
Thanks,
Wolf
I wish this on no man, not even my worst enemies. It is my strongest wishes that you all would be pain free..
