Hi Julie,
Yes I had two head injuries, neither of which put me into the hospital but gave me a good knock. However, they were so long ago that I have discounted them as a factor (10 and 20 years). (Didn't even think of it until I saw your mail.)
I am a consultant and previously a middle manager in an internaational company and by default very stressed and travel a lot as you seem to. The seratonin link has been of great interest to me due to some previous experiences which I have had.
My mother's side of the family has had (as far as I have been able to research it) a history of depression and migraines. My sister at one time was diagnosed as schizophrenic (but seems to be doing fine now, maybe she was severly depressed?)
My clusters were diagnosed last year. I thought I was having bad migraines, or jaw clamping or something, but after two weeks of hysteria at 4 AM finally went to the doctor (and felt ashamed for going in with such a "trivial" problem!)
After surfing here and there for information as to what ails me I am still irritated that this is diagnosed as a "male problem". (Then again, maybe that's good. More money will go into research...)
This is a miserable affliction
Best regards,
Karin
