I write this on behalf of my father that is confined to the house at the moment suffeering from 2 to 3 clusters a day.
I have been looking at the other messages on the board and the subject of water comes up a few times, I was wondering does this really help?
At the moment he has had these headaches for about 5 weeks 2-3 a day. Normally what happens is that he has he has 2-3 wks of the headaches that abate for about 3 years, so this has been a long series of attacks. I believe he is worried that they will become chronic, could ny chronic sufferers out there describe what life is like for them with the condition.
As far as drugs go he was taking imigran which seemed to work for a while but since this is a long bout of attacks he has been prescribed something called NARAMIG has anyone heard of this, does it work? He was also given sumatriptan but that just made him drousy!
He tells me he finds massaging the throbing area with his fingers helps the intensityu of the pain, localised production of endorphins or something.
