after my auto accident, was even teasing with the doctors about feeling okay until the shock wore off, then felt the pain all at once. While it was quite nasty, would not trade that head to toe pain for some bilateral clusters I had. Just can't imagine being in that much pain for so long and like you said not passing out. Then after four hours, leaves like nothing ever happened.
Someone has a bad sense of humor with these headaches.
Recently I have been experiencing what I call a reverse cluster for lack of a better name, same right side, my right eye involuntary closes and my right eye all the way back to my ear goes numb. Actually a very pleasant sensation that can last for ten or more minutes, but embarassing if it occurs during a meeting.
