try ice right on the pain, frozen bag of peas or corn work great as they sort of mold to your head. I also found Dramamine or Benedryl (but not both) before bed allowed me to get a full nights sleep.You may want to ask the doc for Verapamil as a preventative. A lot of folks here have had great success with it, myself icluded. Please stick around & become as informed as you can and let us know how you do at the docs. We have all been or are now right where you are understand completely. You may want to have your wife surf the supporters help pages as there are many here in the same boat as her and they too understand her frustration and helpless feelings.
