If you're with her and you start to feel one coming, let her know, and let her see exactly what it's like - don't hold back. That's the only way people who don't experience this monster will ever get to realise how serious this is. The fact that she gets migraine is likely to work against you until she sees what it's like. She only has migraine to compare what's she's heard about CH to, and it's completely different, I know as I get both. I'm not downplaying Migraine, just saying that you can't compare it to CH. It's like the difference between a punch on the nose and a kick in the nuts, they both hurt like hell but I know which I'd rather have!
If she has trouble dealing with it, point her towards the family service team. Good luck to you. Colin.
