I thought I was having a stroke/cerebral hemorrahage/was victim of a tumor/or was being called home by the mothership. Cluster headaches were unknown. Once they were, I no longer thought I was experiencing any of the above. I suppose this was good news.
All you need do is make an appointment with one of these characters to put to rest most of these questions. These guys will perform all kinds of boring tests which, by the way, are painless. Most of these are done so their insurance won't equal their income.
When you learn these are cluster headaches, and I'd place good money on that, you can come here and join the rest of us. Enjoy spending lots of time cursing whatever malevolent (and malevolent it surely is) thing in the Universe that has decided this is something deserved or worth exploring.
If you are like most of us, you will find some help here in one way or another. I promise you we can almost always make this thing easier to manage. However, get thee to a neurologist and put to rest your fears.
