I took the quiz and it points to me having clusters. I have been to the doctor once and was prescibed Duradrin...but it did not help me. Now let me give you guys history on my headaches and I'm just wanting opinions:
First of all I am 22 years old, 5ft 9in and weigh roughly 160 pounds. I'm a smoker and wear contact lenses...but almost never drink because it usually gives me the typical headache.
My headaches usually occur at night. I usually wake up with them...I do sometimes get them in the middle of the day....but its usually while sleeping. My headache is always a bvad pulsating headache above my right eye. I don't bang my head....but i do push extremely hard on my temple because it tends to make it better....the harder I push the less I feel the headache because all my pain is going into my forceful pain which is alot more tolerable then the headache. I tend to walk around when getting these headaches. I try to get my heartrate up for reasons of making the Tylonel, IB profen or whatever kick in faster....now the headaches usually last anywhere from 15mins to a hour at the most. I sometimes get them once or twice a week and other sometimes get them up to 5 times a day. My eye usually hurts from these headaches...not to bad...but a very uneasy feeling. I have had these headaches for probally since I was 19. I can't really say that there to the extremes of what I have read on the front page of this website....but I can say that I have wanted to die over my headaches. Now when my headaches go away its almost magical....I can usually feel them going away within 2-5 minutes. Another thing is that I have got really good at catching them. I really can feel them coming so what I do is try to take a IB Profen or whatever to catch it before it creeps on me to fast. I'm sure I don't have clusters...but I was hoping you guys could give me a idea....who knows I may have clusters....but I have been in pain for a long time and its really getting on my nerves...please post any suggestions or thoughts on my experience with headaches.
