Excedrin Migraine and Excedrin Extra Strength are EXACTLY the same thing. I usually can take three of them with a strong cup of coffee at the onset of a CH and hit the O2 and "sometimes" can abort the CH, BUT if that doesn't work it's straight to the Cafagot - no fooling around.
Don't like the way Imitrex makes me feel (although if you check the archives you'll find out how to take only part of a dose - seems to work on CH). But Cafagot doesn't mess with hypertension like Imitrex does. Ask your neuro about it. It has other side effects. But nothing's perfect.
Try the strong black coffee with the O2 and keeping the O2 on for another 5 minutes after the HA is aborted.
