Well had my doc visit Monday and saw a Nurse Practitioner, who seemed very understanding. I had printed out the article from this site to give to them, knowing most know not much about this malady and he put it in my record after skimming it (it's 25 pages, after all...) He has put me on several things to try: 1 yr. script for O2 (YES!); duradrin (Midrin); Nasacort (nasal spray); suggested I try Excedrin Migraine (did not work at all); and nasal flushing with distilled water, sea salt or canning salt and baking soda. Has anyone heard of the two drugs above and whether they help? He would not up my verapamil becauseI have hypertension and he said any more would make me hypotensive and liable to faint. He said we could keep imitrex "on the back burner", but again with hyptertension, it was a little worrisome. I have not tried the saline nasal irrigation yet but the oxygen works fantastically, only sometimes a little short-lived (might need some more hits after 1/2 hour or so...)Woke up this morning at 4:30 with the beast banging on my door, took about three min. on the O2 and mostly gone. Fifteen minites later, back again, so took another 5-7 min. of it and it has gone bye-bye for now. Finishing up my first )2 cylinder now and have one in reserve (have to stock-up for the weekend!)The duradrin is am aspirin/tylenol/sedative combination. I have not tried this solo yet (although did in combo with O2 the other night, but this doesn't tell me whether it works or not). So far, the O2 is the best abortive I've found. Does it begin not to work the more one uses it?Thanks all!Jim R
