we feel so bloody helpless here in Canada, watching all the news on TV, crying right along with the survivors, hanging on every word of every report. We are angry, outraged, so many emotions. We are flying our flags at half staff, we are donating blood to the point that the Red Cross can't store any more of it, we are sending in donations, but we still feel so sad and unable to do anything but sit quietly by and hope the Americans know how much we care. This morning at 10 a.m., here in Alberta we are observing a moment of silence. But what does that do? Nothing.
