Hi. I haven't been to the board for a while, I've been occupied with a message board for my little girl's medical condition. My clusters came back over the weekend and I'm going to the doc tomorrow for prescriptions. I've been taking verapamil for each cycle for about 15 years and it's worked 95% of the time. I am concerned this time because last year the verapamil caused some real joint pain and swelling. I took some arthritis meds which helped and, once my cycle was over I stopped both meds and everything was back to normal. Regardless, I started verapamil last night, cause as bad as the joint pain was, I'd take it any day over ch pain. And I'm hoping that was a one time fluke that won't happen this time since it never had before.

My question is, that I've noticed several people taking other drugs in conjuction with verapamil and I wondered what the benefits are? Does it help shorten the time it takes the verapamil to work? Are there other preventatives that work as well as verapamil? I tried looking at the survey results and it seems the prednisone is the only other popular choice.

One other quick question. What is the O2 mask that I should ask for called? Sorry this is so long. Thanks for any help.
