I agree with Jonny that together they can be magical. Each time I start it, 900 mgs lithium, I get sick in about a week. A lot of shaking, nausea, have had hallucinations in the past, but believe it or not it's worth it. I then cut back on the lithium and it improves.
What I wanted to say was beware of the prednisone. I was on 80 mgs a day for a long time several years ago. Then I broke my ankle and it turned out my bones are soft and I have osteoperosis. Noone believes it because I am not the classical osteo patient. As a woman, be careful. The docs seem to treat only 1 thing at a time.
