tell you, I have been painfree after 32 years of daily attacks of 7 to 15 pre day,everyday,day in, day out until a few months ago I decided to start paying for a private neuro instead of going to the V.A.
He put me on Oxy- Contin and within a few weeks they just stopped, barely a shadow in over a month and everything that use to trigger them,like flash photography, driving at night with oncoming traffic lights, odors from strong perfumes,smoke going from airconditioned to outside(I LIVE IN SOUTH FLORIDA__HOT)and vice versa. the only thing I havent tried is alcohol and that will never happen!
I was where you are 4 months ago and now it's like a whole new life, No outward feeling of uphoria or anything,just no attacks, I went through about 2 weeks of feeling like I was on uppers at first but that went away and now it life in paradise! I was about as anti Drug use as a person can get and now have trouble with the guilt from changing my ethics mid stream but at least I can think and spend time with the Grandkids and for the first time in a life time I am sleeping for 6 or mor hours at a time!
My Hep c is advancing too but Idon't think that is playing a role in this pain free episode!
