Well, I just got fired. The guy’s a freak anyhow, bipolar, won't take his meds, but it still came as quite a shock. First he came into my office and asked if it was ok that I only work three days next week.I told him no, that I needed more hours then that to be able to pay the rent. Then he came back and said that he went through my back-to-work form that my doctor faxed to him and well he can’t justify the monetary outlay for so few hours. In other words medical discrimination. Which is great but in the mean time there is no income coming in and how do I pay rent? He had to do it the day before my birthday, what a guy!
This week at work I was blind-sided by a headache. I work in an office alone. I packed up my stuff and went to tell the people in the main office why I was leaving. They took one look at my face and they gasped and oohed and oh noed. This time I drove directly to the neuro so he could see what I look like in full blossom. Finally, not having to explain myself. It was self-evident. He gave me a scrip for oxycontin. I had been begging for something time release, because we all know how long hydrocodone really lasts, that is if it works. The doc’s rules were no more than 2 a day. Which translated means, if there are days when they are not needed at all and none are taken, then there are more for the days of great need. I believe that this particular stretch of headaches is almost entirely the result of the fall I took and that the pain is like motor memory only pain memory. This is not true for what were my regular cycles. I was going to start bio-feedback but now there is no insurance and therefore no clinic. I guess I will go to the library and check out some books.
