I went to the doctor last week armed with all my info from these websites. Number one, the doctor flat out informed me the research done by Goadsby on the hypothalamus is probally nothing more than just research, and not proven to be accurate. He was also at a loss on how to get me oxygen. So I left with a script for ergotamine and stadol, and a few imitrex shots. He gave me a refferal to a neurologist on Sept. 7th, but that seems like a lifetime away. With the ergomar, you can take no more than 6 a week, so what the hell are you supposed to do when you are having 2 HA's a day, suffer for the other 4 days? My clusters are not responding to the imitrex very well, and my insurance does not cover them. All I really wanted to try was the oxygen. Does anyone know how to get it? And the stadol spray makes me sick and irritable. Is there a better way to control the pain? Pain tablets like hydrocodone are useless, like putting a bandaid on a timebomb. I know there has to be a way to get oxygen. What do all these people with lung cancer and such do??? Anybody got any advice?
