Man, can I relate to your post. Those times I don't wake up when my hubby was getting attacked (boy, it's nice to talk in past tense, finally - 23 months of remission now!!!!), I would wake in a panic that he had gone to war alone.
He prefers, usually, to be alone when he is getting attacked, but I am never out of earshot, in case he needs me. But to have the audacity to SLEEP through an attack, in my mind anyways, is unforgivable. Sometimes I even feel guilty for waking up feeling caught up on my sleep when he is so obviously exhausted. and yet, he feels guilty if he does wake me up in the night.
Clusterguilt is contagious, my friend.
