My goodness, the joy one feels when he finds people that understand. Let me introduce myself. My name is Nick, I'm 28, reside in a small town in Illinois with my wife of 5 years and two children. Unfortunately, I have been suffering from cluster headaches for about 7 years. As of now, I am about 2 months into a 3-5 month cluster, receiving 1 or 2 headaches a day at an hour a piece. Almost always getting one between midnight and 4:30, and if I get a second, it's usually while I am trying to get ready for work at 8 AM. Used to take Excedrin to help knock the pain down from a '10' to a '9.5' but it no longer helps. So I went and seen the doc today and he Rx'd me some Imitrex Nasal Spray and Darvocet for immediate battle on The Beast, and Verapamil; a one-a-day drug that will hopefully shorten the 3-5 month war on the Clusters. Anyone have any luck with any of these?
With the exception of my wife, who has nursed me through these long 7 years of CHs, I found that no matter how many times I explain my pain to someone, they never understand. Then I find all of you and burst into tears... People like me!
Mind if I take off my shoes and stay awile?
