i was wondering if anyone had any input here. . . i often have sharp, shooting, intense, pain on the right side of my head. this is what sent me to the doctor several years ago. he thought i had sinus problems so he gave me sinus meds and they didn't work so he determined i suffered from migraines. however, i had never once had a full migraine before. only the shooting pains which made me reach up and grab my head were what i had experienced. i have been on a beta blocker for years, i am looking for another treatement. when i don't take this beta blocker i experience the shooting pains. sometimes i even get them when i take the medication. i am supposed to take it daily but occasionally miss a dose. i have most of the symptoms of migraines but it was suggested to me that i have clusters. is it possible to have cluster headaches that develop into migraine headaches? i am looking for a new medication and more answers. i hate being 19 and feeling this way. i tried to get in to see my doctor this week but he is not available because he is going on vacation and was booked solid all week. anyone have any input?
