Hello,
Been a while since I last posted, but I read religiously,
thanks to all of you for being here. I learn something
new everyday....
40 y/o male, in my first cycle, started in Feb., not sure
if I am episodic or chronic. Currently 3-4 CH per day,
using large amounts of Imitrex to survive. Met with a
neuro Monday, he started me on Predisone and Verapamil.
Predisone: 3 days at 60mg, 3 days at 40mg, 3 days at 20mg
Verapamil: 1 week at 80mgday, 1 week at 160mg, 1 week at
240mg, then continue.
A couple of questions for the experts...
1) Any serious side effects from too much Imitrex?
(besides the hole in my wallet...)
For the daytime, I am using 20mg nasal spray + 1/2 of a
50mg tablet. Usually 2-3 times per day
For the nighttime (the demon), I am using 6mg injection +
1/2 of a 50mg tablet. Usually 1-2 times per night.
2) Predisone: I am about 36 hours into it with no effect
so far. How long does it typically take to kick in?
3) Verapamil: I am considering accelerating the dosage by
getting to 240mg per day in 15 days instead of 21. Any
issues here?
4) If the Predisone does not break the cycle what is
the next best option?
