Has anyone out there had any success with Feverfew? I know it seems to help migraine sufferers, but I have yet to locate a post from a Clusterhead that reports even minimal success. It sure didn't work for me.
For that matter, I have seen basically ZERO posts reporting any significant success from ANY kind of herbal or holistic or naturopathic approach. I would love to have someone correct me, but it seems the demon responds only to heavyweight meds that all have potential drawbacks: i.e. prednisone (the dreaded pred) Verapamil, sumatriptan, Sansert, Lithium (shudder), etc.
The exception seems to be Oxygen, but from what I can determine, for many people the oxy seems to just delay the onset of the next CH by a few hours. I will never know the benefits of oxygen therapy myself, since I live in the Dominican Republic, and medicinal O2 is, to all intents and purposes, non-existent here.
I would LOVE to treat my beast with something a little easier on the system (and easier on the wallet) than Imitrex, but until I see a success story for herbal remedies posted here I will keep my Imitrex stash handy.
Consider this a friendly challenge to all proponents of herbal therapy! Hit me with your best shot! Please!
