Here in Switzerland the people renting the O2 gear don't have an idea about decent masks as well. They usually only
care for patients that need lo flow O2 for hours for which these nasal gadgets suffice. My pharmacist found me a mask
that is designed for high O2 flow.
Most masks that are around have holes next to the O2 intake. The whole setup acts as an injector pump: The O2 jet
sucks in a lot of air through these additional holes. I RECOMMEND to everybody who has a mask with holes besides
the inlet tube to CLOSE them up using some sort of sticking tape.
Jeff, could you please e-mail me the manufacturer and type number of your "reservoir mask", maybe I can get one
here as well.
