view it as a very dirty trick of mother nature as the physical damage done to your body is next to nil, but the pain associated with them is totally unreal. Those that never experienced a cluster will never be convinced including and in particular, those in the medical field that pretend to treat them. They think you are crazy. The only way I would know how to emulate the pain of a cluster and was my way of describing this pain to many doctors, is to let me tie them to a table, and pound a railroad spike slowly into their eye headed for their ear on the same side. I was in a bad accident six years ago, the pain was fairly bad thoughout my entire body, but for some ungoddly reason, I went into the shock and felt no pain until recovered, but that pain that put me into shock was no where near as painful as some clusters that I have had. I would pray that I would pass out or go into shock, but no way, had to bare that pain for sometimes hours until it would pass with each second seeming to be an eternity. Clusters just are nor real nor fair and can put a fear into a person not even their love ones can understand that can stress a relationship.
At the most, one can only get partial relief, but only after a series of guesses have been made and this experimental time can be dreadful. More research is needed. The only hope is that in some, they just go away as mysteriously as they started, hope you are one of those. Take care of that kid.
