Hi. Welcome to the club. I thinks it's safe to say that most folks who
post here understand your fear, your anxiety, even your thoughts of
suicide. I get so pissed off sometimes, I want to take a gun and *shoot*
this f*cking headache! Even thought my head's in the way! So instead,
I scream, cry, moan, pace, etc., unless I have some abortive drug
available. Which often I may not 'cause I've used them all up. While
you are trying Verapamil as a CH blocker, consider Imitrex and O2 as
abortives. Also, I have come to acknowledge that most docs and even
neurologists probably have no real concept of the quality of the pain
we experience. Don't be shy to shop around for one o' dem 'experts'
that you can relate with. During this cluster, I sense impatience in
all the medical people who I go to. They *just don't get it*! Try and
find one who 'gets it'.
