People who have heart disease or are at high risk for it should not use this class of drugs. The manufacturer makes this suggestion in case you have a problem which has not yet been detected by regular physical exams or clinical history.
Having said that, I suspect that a young-ish person without a personal or family history of heart disease is likely safe in taking an injection alone.
The tightness in the chest mentioned (below) is NOT a sign of heart attack, etc. I've seen medical studies showing that there is no association between this tightness and heart disease.
There have been several deaths following its use--but most likely these are linked to older folks with a history of heart disease.
Yes, you can take a trial injection without being in the midst of a CH attack. Let you doctor make the decision on a trial run.
