My father suffers from Cluster Headaches. He got his first CH about 5 years ago and they lasted about 3 months. He had never gotten another until 3 months ago. He has about 2 per day and is on medication which needs to be taken at the onset of a headache (I don't remember the name). I have been looking around the internet, and through message boards I see there are so many different types of medications out there. His doctor only suggested one type. Should he suggest that the Dr. have him try all the different types until they find something that works? My Dad is 62, high blood pressure and a smoker (which may be part of the problem). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
