I too had a bad experience with the neuro's secretary and nurse. The first time I saw him and told him my symptoms, he told his secretary to set me up with and MRI/MRI "ASAP". Well, the next day, I called to see when my appointment was and they acted like they had forgotten but they said they would set it up. 3 hours later I called back and they still hadn
t set it up. I had gone thru a terrible night of CHs and I was furious! In desperation, I called an opthamologist's office. He was booked solid, but HIS secretary told me to come on in. He checked me out and after seeing that my eye was ok, was concerned that I may have an aneurism, etc. He told his staff to set me up with the MRI/MRA and I went straight from his office to the imaging place. Early the next morning he called me to tell me the results which were, of course, negative. But what if they HADN'T been?? I was ready to tell my neuro how upset I was at his staff the next day when I saw him, but just as I went in, I started having an attack.
The nurse and secretary just stood and watched open-mouthed as I screamed and cried and paced. (He gave me Imitrex and sent me to the ER for O2) Since then, whenever I call they try to whisk me in.
