I have been diagnosed with cluster headaches. The damaged area is the 1st & 2nd branch of Trigeminal nerve. My Doctor put me on Prednisone for 1 week and it stopped all pain and lessened the symptoms after one week of usage. He didn't want to keep me on it however. Instead, he put me on Cafergot (which did nothing for me at all), today he gave me sho of DHE-45, and a prescription of 2 mg Sanset (sp?). The Cafergot prooved inifective. I feel like my Doctors just want to keep me as a long term patient instead of working on my problems.
Does anyone have any information for me? This is the first time I've attempted to reach out to others who seem to be suffering from the same thing.
