I have been on Lithium since Sat., March 20th. I did not do well for the first 12 hours on, but have been cluster headache free since Sunday, March 21st!! My neurologist told me it would take 2 to 3 days for the lithium to work. I've never heard of waiting 1 to 2 weeks for it to start working. I have Imitrex on the side, just in case the lithium doesn't work. I've been very pleased with how the Lithium is working for me.
