I was on prednisone for about 7 months straight last year. I gained 50 lbs. before they took me off of it....I understand how hard it is to keep the weight off, excercise did nothing to help my weight gain either...but as soon as I came off the prednisone the weight in my face went away almost immediately and with excercise I lost the rest of the weight at a rate of about 1-2 lbs. a week. Hang in there :)
