I went on prednisone when I was admitted to the emergency room for chrone's disease back in May. I was only supposed to be on it for 2 months at the most. I had a relapse when they were taking me down on the dosage. I am now on 10.5mg per day for 21 days and then I hopefully get to decrease again. I suffered severe joint pain in the beginning. Now my only complaint is I can't recognize my face, especially in the morning and I have put on 10-12lbs. I work out constantly but it is not coming off. Please, anyone, can you tell me once I am off of this drug will I recognize myself again? Will I finally lose this weight? I hate myself right now!!!
