First off, I am so glad I found you guys, I have felt so alone for years as I know of no one who suffers with cluster headaches. Anyway, I went to neuro yesterday as I am having probably my worst ch cycle right now, so I guess it was time for a drug re-adjustment. For maintenance I had been taking nortriptiline. He has now said to get off of that and start on Sansert. I have no idea what this is or if there are any side effects. You tend to put all of your trust in your neuro's hands, however, I was upset to hear that they are recalling DURACT, which my neuro gave me last visit. I didn't like it, so didn't take much, but people have died and it effects the liver. Also, instead of imtrex, he gave me zomig. He said it was better, but I had to take one last night and didn't find it any quicker than imetrex and it had stronger auroua than imetrex. Any feedback on these two drugs would be appreciated. I just need something to break this cycle. What about the inhalers? I asked him about o2 and he didn't seem too receptive, said you have to catch the headaches right away. Also, I have been through two packs of dose-pak to no avail. I was hoping he would give me a steroid injection, but said he doesn't give shots - what a trip. Sorry so long, but I am at wits end.
