I was going through the SAME thing... But I kept on dropping docs until I finally found a nuerologist at The Headache Center in Philadelphia. At the time, I was allowed 6 syringes per 30 days. Needing 2 a day, obviously that wasn't enough. Now here's the difference between regular physicians and specialists:
My nurse at the HC has been fighting with the insurance company for over a month and a half, and went as far as to file a grievance with them, so there was a hearing and I won. I'm now allowed 60 injections per month! All covered. And I'm convinced that even if we lost that one, she would have kept fighting for me. And that was only the nurse! Imagine the treatment I get from the docs! They truly give a shit. I believe that every CH'er needs to be under the care of a nuerologist, preferably a headache specialist. No, screw preferably, you need a headache specialist. Demand referrals. You are the paying customer. Don't forget that.
It makes all the difference in the world. My hope is that this might give you some direction in looking for a new doc, because the one your seeing now is a SMACKED ASS!! Forget her, man, and go demand the attention you need from someone that cares. If you need help, just ask. Good Luck!
