Tami:
Stay with us! You may feel that everything is coming to an end, but believe it or not, it's just the begining of the best part of your life!
Yes, I know that CH's are the worst thing to happen. I've been chronic with them for the past three years, and was episodic for three years before that. I live my life wondering not if I'll have a CH today, but when I'll have one or more today. Sometimes it seems that my life revolves around Ercaf, Lidocaine, Oxygen and Imitrex. I don't leave home with an American Express card, I leave home with my meds!
Trying to work with these things are a royal pain! I just had to go through a "Fit for Duty" examination in order to keep my job. After recieving letters from my Dr., they finally relented, with the admonition that "It's your problem, deal with it and do your job!" Funny thing is, on my yearly evaluation I recieved all 2's (on a scale of 1-5, 1 being highest) so I must be doing my job right, even with these CH's!
As far as troubles go, I take each one in stride and learn from it, just as I do with each and every CH. In my short 46 years on this earth, I've been married, divorced, bankrupt, had an aunt that was a substance abuser, took care of my grandmother until she died at 102 years old, had my first partner commit suicide, had my second partner die of a heart attack, and had several serious injuries that left me scared and also partially disabled in my right arm and left ear.
Unfortunately, I've never been able to have the joy and happiness of having my own children, and being able to look forward to watching them grow up and add to the family.
Yes Tami, these CH's are one of the worst things that could happen, but when you look at your entire life, your husband, family and friends, they're a minor inconvienience compared to the love and joy of everything else.
Stay with us Tami, your worth it! I'm not a real religious man, but have you read the story of Job?
Pain free days and nights to you,
Verne
