It hurts so much more when it's the kids. You won't get any good news on this one. They can occur multiple times a day and they can go non stop for years. Some of us are episodic and only suffer 2 attacks a year that will go for 2 to 4 months. Others are chronic and they suffer year round. GET TO A DOCTOR WHO KNOWS WHAT THESE ARE. You are wasting your time with docs who treat them like tension headaches. Sorry i had no good news for your question. What i suggest you do is print out all of the medications on this board that work for others, find a neuro willing to work with you, and start trying the combo's. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and the board is always here for you.
