Hello all:
I am a 43 year old male. I have suffered from sever headaches for about the past 35 years. I have been for the most part helpless to do anything about this faceless nameless demon. This mourning my wife put a name to it. It is the cluster headache. I never knew that anyone else on this planet suffered in this manner. Thank you March issue of Prevention Magazine. You have done what Doctors could not. They just say it is hard to diagnose types of headaches and prescribe a general analgesic. They look at you like you are nuts when you tell them you pace rather then lay down with a headache. They tell you they have no idea why it is accompanied by congestion on one side. Or why you tilt you head. These symptoms are so unique that I know now there is only one thing they can be. It has been a thirty five years of hell, week after week year after year. Maybe now I can find some help. You can’t imagine what it is like to learn this after so many years. I am thrilled beyond words. I have basically been going it alone and people do not understand. When I was young I had eye surgery and later wisdom teeth removel. Each time I was told that a side benefit would be no more headaches, yeah right.
I believe it is a wonderful thing what you guys have going here. This information exchange is priceless. But someone needs to get the word out to those of us that have been in the dark for so long. People need help. Doctors need to be educated. Lets make some noise.
God Bless All of You.
