On a broader scale, it's important to consider the potential for other sufferers. The bleeding, birdseed and magnets don't do much for credibility, I'm afraid. Nor does the slightly early end to your cycle...many of us find that as we progress in years of suffering, our cycles change in duration, frequency and/or predictability.
Too many variables are included here to draw any valid conclusions. Is it possible for you to contact the Beijing doctor and get more data regarding how and why she beleives this to be effective? Perhaps, as Margi said, the true benefit was in acupuncture style pressure, and the birdseed and magnets were merely unrelated tools which caused the desired end result.
