I found this site about 2 months ago. After 31 years of thinking I was the "only one", you can imagine my joy. I spent the first day going over all the information. I even printed some out and gave it to my Dr. He was impressed! Then I started paying attention to the board. After awhile you feel like you actually know some of the people by following their posts on the board.
A day doesn't go by that I have to check the board at least once to see "how everybody is doing". I even made a few posts myself. Mailed and received mail from some of the people. There is Simon and MOB from the UK, Sheryl from FL., Bennie Sue, and Sue:^). They have helped me more than they know. All of you have in some way. I can never thank you guys enough.
The main point of this post concerns O.U.C.H. I'm a very practical person and had made my mind up early-on that I was going to join OUCH after the first of the year. I thought why pay now for 2 months and then have to pay again soon. Just wait I figured. After the recent posts and some encouragement from Sue:^), I've decided to join now instead of waiting. I know one of
the problems is that since CH is not well known, it can have a devastating effect on ones experience with family and friends. I think one of the hardest to deal with. The idea that no one believes you and you start doubting yourself. Enough of that crap! I'm going to mail my dues tomorrow morning with a small donation for Sues':^) artwork.
I firmly believe in what OUCH is attempting to do and will support them however I can, even paying my dues again in 2 months. I hope I'm able to give another donation then. Maybe for more of Sues':^) artwork! Good Stuff!
Again my thanks to DJ for sure and Elaine&Todd, Den, Frank, August, Pinkshark, Marge, TerryS, Kathi, WaterDog, Kip, Sonya, Annemarie, and all the others I can't think of due to the drugs I've had to use to get through this day. A warm Thank You to everyone who posts on a regular basis and keep up the good work! With CH being such as it is I think this is the ONLY way anything is ever
going to be accomplished. A phrase I haven't used for many, many years; POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!
