Vern and Jackie, Your postings have spurd(sp) my memory, not a goood one I might add. A couple of years ago I went to a neuro at a large university teaching hospital with the hopes that he would be my new 'savior' with some real insight and knowledge. Boy was I ever wrong. The morning I went I had already had 3 attacks- 1 in the car, had to bang my head against the window. I had taken Stadol at the time. When I finally saw him the attack was gone but the effects of the stadol were still around. I was walking like I was sort of confused or drunk(never have been in my life) Well.. His revelation was to STOP ALL DRUGS and take NOTHING. I cried. Didn't he have a clue? He was supposed to be a professor,TEACHING OTHER DOCTORS. That was very scary to me. Now 6 years later I realize we are not that much ahead. He truly thought I was there for drugs. My husband, God bless him tried in earnest to get him to give me something. "you'll just have to get through them on your own" I was stupid, I listened. Please people if you think you are being jerked around find another doc. My doc found out what he said and immediately gave me something. There are some goood docs out there. Keep up the fight! Pain
