Dear Andrea and Taco,

I would never advocate smoking (or the abuse of alcohol either). BUT. When in cycle, I stopped smoking for a week. (And I smoked a lot). No result. At All!

I know how hard it is to quit, especially if somebody tells you to. Maybe the doc has other reasons to advise Taco to stop. But if it is just to get out of CH attacks, the results may be dubious.

I am saying this only, because I know from up close the heardache and guilt feelings if an attempt to stop fails.

If it does, don't make your husband feel guilty. Of course smoking is bad for him. You know it and he knows it too. But there is a reasonable chance stopping won't do anything for his cluster attacks.
After all, I have stopped smoking now, and I am still getting shadows, so the condition is still there.

Again, no smoking is best, but don't pin your hopes on that alone.

Walk in beauty, annemarie
