Violent with himself? If yes, is quite normal, sorry. We call us also headbangers... It seems that to bang our head help to reduce the pain.
I think that a 50% uf us do it. For myself, I do not bang but I (voluntary) enter in a pseudo catatonic state, oscillating slowly my head and moaning.
In the case that become violent with other people.... is normal again. Many of us WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE during the attacks (I'm one of these) Define with your hubby if he want so. You'll avoid many...problems.
